The case of failure: What happens when the system goes down?
If ground handling moves to a fully autonomous system, there will be no humans on the ramp. With a fully autonomous system, what happens to ground handling when there is a technical fault? Will ground handling stop? What is the back up? This discussion will assess the dangers of a potential cyber-attack, technical faults, weather conditions affecting equipment, and other threats to autonomous GSE; highlighting the risk management procedures in place to ensure efficient ground handling still happens.
